Winter in Minnesota

Yup, lots of snow. Its actually snowing as I type this. Its been cold, but in between the below zero days, come a few teens and low twenty's that make it bearable to for a 3 year old to play outside. Not that Ella really cares how cold it is outside. As long as she is "bungled up" and promised hot cocoa afterwards, she is good to go.

We have a slight slant in our backyard....slight enough for a 30 lb little girl to actually go sledding on. And what a trooper carrying the sled back up. Oh ya, Daddy so makes her work for it. Do you remember having to climb the biggest hill ever just to go down it one more time? They did that the other day too. Mommy had a day off and Daddy and Ella went to a really big hill to go sledding on. I was told they both had a wonderful time.

Here's my little trooper enjoying the season.

  1. Yeah, my kids are totally oblivious to the cold. Of course, our cold is nowhere near your cold. I love that last photo of Ella and the stick of her sucker.

  2. Sledding is still fun to me. We did it a couple of years ago. Man the worst thing was walking back up the hill. It was a HUGE hill. Fun none the less

  4. Do you ever take photos that aren't awesome? Seriously girl- you are on fire these days! I love the whole series, and I really love her adorable hat. And the sucker in her mouth! So cute. Ahhh, I remember the good ol' days of going sledding. We lived at the top of a HUGE hill growing up in Missouri. Not too much of that going on down here in TX, tho!

  5. Oh yes, isn't the weather lovely?? she looks all warm and snuggly and totally cute in her snowsuit and hat. :) We have a slight grade in our backyard, too. It does save on having to go anywhere else to sled. Closer to the hot cocoa that way. ;)
