My great, great Grandfather on my Mom's side came to America from Lebanon. While growing up I always had a sense of my heritage, but never became interested in it until my late 20's. My Mom and I often go to a Lebanese deli to enjoy raw kibbi, tabouli, stuffed grape leaves and stuffed kusa. It is a nice treat for us to go there because neither my Dad nor Keith like to eat our "funny food", as they call it.
So even though there was not much excitement while we were at the festival, at least we got to enjoy the music and the food!
Trying to get Ella to just smile like a normal little girl in front of the camera is another story! :0)
SMILE ELLA!

NO REALLY, JUST A REGULAR SMILE....

COME ON.....

JUST ONE SMILE FOR ME PLEASE.....

CAN YOU ACT NORMAL?
THANK YOU!

My kids do the same thing now. At least she is not running away and hiding from the camera. She is just too cute for words.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great cultural event...too bad you didn't get to see more. AT least they had the FOOD though! :)
ReplyDeleteElla is still cute in her non-cooperation. :) I get that here often, too.
That girl is such a ham! I know, that's the first time you'veever heard that one before. :oP So cute, and she obviously knows it!
ReplyDeleteYum, that's some good food! Wel, all except the kibbi - I can't do raw. I adore Greek food, and I think Lebanese is pretty similar. Hey is there a place called Fadis by you? It's a mediteranean grill around here, and OMG, awesome!!!
What fun! :) I'm all about the food, too! :)
ReplyDeleteyour girl made me giggle...my daughter is so like that.....or giving me a fake smile that is killing me these days.
