My Tiny Dancer

I cant say that while I was trying to get pregnant or even going through the last couple of years that I envisioned myself being the Mommy of a little girl who was in dance class. And if I did, I certainly didnt think about doing her hair and makeup in preparation for pictures and a recital.

So last night, while I was knee deep in curling irons and hairspray, blush, mascara and cute little hit me. The whole week leading up to last night I kinda had anxiety because now it was my turn to be the one responsible for putting my little girl together, not the other way around like it was when I was in dance class. I was the Mommy. Would I do the make up correct? Would her hair stay in place? Would she have all the little pieces of her costumes she needed?

Yes, on all accounts. She was as close to perfection that I can imagine, if I do say so myself. :0)
Now we just have to do it one more time for the actual recital.....

  1. OH MY goodness. She is like a living doll. That first shot is stunning. She is beautiful.

  2. I would say perfection just about sums it up. She is gorgeous. You did an awesome job on her hair and make-up.

  3. She is so cute and you did a great job on her hair and makeup. These pictures are just perfect!! She's got such beautiful big eyes. I bet she was excited about the makeup. Anya was really excited about that part when I had her in dance last year.

  4. I see a future Ballerina in the makings!

  5. There is just something so Audrey Hepburn about Ella. They eyes? The expressions? Whatever it is, she is simply stunning!

  6. My favorite is the last one. They are all fabulous, especially since your subject is fabulous, but the last one is the best.

  7. She is stunning and you did she a wonderful job on her hair. WOW! I have no idea how to do stuff like that.

  8. You aced this mother-of-a-little-girl milestone, and then some! Wow, she is gorgeous and your hair and makeup work is exquisite. But I'm not commenting on how grown up she looks...see, this is me not commenting on that. :oP

  9. Oh my goodness, she is absolutely STUNNING! And you did a fabulous job with her hair and make up -- wow!

  10. thanks so much for the kind comments on my blog! thought it was funny to come over and see this post--we are knee deep in our first dance recital here, for my middle girl. dress rehearsal this weekend! anyway, WONDERFUL pictures!!!
