Simple Summer Fun
Sadly, Summer is basically over. I hate to admit it, but it came and went way too fast this year. Gone, will be the days of little summer dresses and rain boots....Running barefoot through the sprinkler....Swinging carelessly from a tree. Thankfully, we usually have enough pictures of summer to last us through the first snow fall. I kinda look at it like a new backdrop. By the time summer is over, I am tired of shooting the color green. But by the time Spring rolls around, I am tired of shooting whites and browns and long for the greens.
Thus, the cycle continues....

Breakfast Creation
Long time, no blog. It feels like I have only picked up my camera a handful of times in the last few weeks too...but ask me what I've been up to and I honestly don't even remember. Seriously, not much.
We are heading to Florida on Saturday for the week. I am really looking forward to being with my family and being there for my grandmother's 80th birthday. I send her pictures a few times a year and we were able to get down to Florida last year, which was wonderful. She and Ella both talk alot. They get along great! :0)
Life is full of it with a 4 year old. I inconveniently forget that she knows everything. Jeez how life would be so much easier if I would just get that through my scull. But my goodness, do I love that little brain of hers.
The night before....
Ella: "Mommy, maybe when we get up in the morning I can make my Ella's Special Creation for breakfast?"
Me: "What is that?"
Ella: "It is 5 jellybeans, 2 M&M's and a pancake all mixed together. And then maybe you can help me cook it in the oven because it would be too hot for me to do."
Me: "Sounds good. Remind me in the morning and we will do that.
The next morning....
She got her 5 jellybeans (ate about 10 more in the process) and 2 M&M's. I made a pancake for her and she mixed it all together with some syrup.

She was hesitant. She checked it out for a bit because the jellybeans and M&M's were all melted.

Ella: "I don't really like the jellybeans anymore."

Me: "Maybe next time we should put more M&M's in and less jellybeans."
Ella: "Ya. Maybe next time we shouldn't add any jellybeans or pancakes. Just M&M's and syrup. That would be good."

Smores....The Easy Way Out
What do you do when your too lazy to start a fire but would love to see that joyous smile on your little girls face for giving her something ooey, gooey and chocolaty to eat. A special little treat for eating all of her dinner like a big girl.

Princess Car Wash
Do you ever have the feeling that the evening is going to be a long evening before your child goes to bed? One that you don't know if you are going to be able to get through because if one more thing goes wrong you are going to scream? I had one of those evenings the other day. Hubby made himself busy by sanding an old desk that we are trying to refinish and I thought....What are the kid and I going to do?
How does water and bubbles sound?
There are just certain things that I try with her and ask myself why I didn't do this sooner. Washing a car....What could go wrong with that? Actually nothing! It worked out great. She stayed busy for hours. And the best part, is that the evening turned out to be the perfect evening. How could it not be perfect when you get a royal car wash?

Don't you hate it when you spray the hose and the mist comes back at you?
