Fortune Photo Friday

I've been eating a lot of Chinese food lately. Yum. But LeeAnn Chin has their fortune cookies at a dozen for $0.99. That for some reason sounded like quite a deal. So I bought two bags.

Initially I bought them so that Ella could use them for her tea parties. It was a big hit with her and her "imaginary friends" as long as we broke them up into little pieces. When I started reading the fortunes though, I felt inspired to take pictures of them. So I set them all over the place and started shooting. I have a few lined up and will be posting them on upcoming Fridays....as long as they last.

Why not start the day on a positive note!

  3. I love this idea!

I have a total knack for getting really horrible fortunes (like "you shouldn't have gotten out of bed today", etc - NO JOKE), so when I get one I like I tape them to my desk. Perhaps I should take some shots of those...

  4. I love this shot! The container is pretty. Only thing is, now you've got me wanting chinese food and I can't have it because of the msg. :( Gotta find a place around here that cooks w/out the stuff so I can get my kung pao fix. Looking forward to your other pics w/ this theme!

  6. I have to agree that is a nice way to start the day. Love the composition of your shot too. The red marble design of the cup and the white of the paper are a nice contrast. Very nice. :)

  7. What a beautiful, inspirational series this will be! I love the idea Jo, and this is a grat shot to start it out.

My favorite fortune was when DH got one that said "you shouldn't overspend at the moment. Frugality is important" Cracks me up, as his spending habits are an ongoing frustration, and I was like "SEE! I've got the universe behind me!" LOL. It's been two years, and I still have it tacked to the bullitan board. :o)
