A Tiny Bit of 4th of July

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th of July! We went up to the cabin over the weekend. It was wicked warm and humid so I didn't spend much time outside with Olivia. Her and I actually stayed only one night while Keith and Ella stayed 2 nights. I gave Olivia to my mom for the night and got to sleep my little heart out! Fireworks? Who cares when you can sleep?!! :0) Ella came home completely covered in bug bites and exhausted, but had a wonderful time. I'm hoping she sleeps in tomorrow....*Fingers crossed*....but not so likely. These are the few pictures I got of Olivia outside and one of Ella and her cousin Jack.

Its so wonderful the relationship Ella has with Jack. She has a little "boy"friend in the neighborhood that she plays with (remember the kiss?!), but when he doesn't want to do something or gets bored, he will roll his eyes and just go home. With Jack, they both accept each others eccentricities and help each other out. They have been together since babies (they are only 10 weeks apart) and they just accept each other for who they are. I absolutely love to see them together.

  1. olivia has the right idea -- lounging and dozing is a great way to spend a relaxing holiday weekend:)!

  2. Olivia is so precious. My kids have cousins around the same age too and it is so cool to see the relationships forming. Sleep definitely trumps fireworks.

  3. Such precious photos! The one of Olivia sleeping is priceless. And Ella & Jake ~ oh my!

  4. Awww! Now that is some sweeeetness! What a doll. And Ella and Jack - some double sweetness there! What a pair. Hope you got to sleep in this morning!!!!

  5. soooooooooooooooooo fun to see pics of your stunning little honey. :) miss you. congrats on the sleep.

  6. yes! sleeeep!
olivia is an absolute beauty. i think i see some ella in her? do you think their baby pics look alike? i sometimes have to look at dates of some of our newborn photos because i can't tell the girls apart in them.

gah! i love 2 girls...sisters. growing up together. now i'm weepy.

  7. I am with you -- while I love fireworks, there isn't anything that can beat a good night of sleep!

I think Olivia is just adorable -- and I agree with Carrie, I see a lot of Ella in her little face. Do you think they look alike?
